Receive your guests with a 5-star service thanks to the Dometic E28FGB. This elegant built-in wine cooler offers perfect storage conditions for 28 bottles, all beautifully presented behind two adjacent 3-layer glass doors, accentuated by an LED light on both sides. Simply set the recommended serving temperatures - e.g. 16°C for red wine or 8°C for white - for the two separate temperature zones and control your guests with ease directly from the fridge. The well-developed cooling and heating technology ensures that the temperature is reliably maintained and that the wine can be served at the right temperature. While the carbon filter and water tank create a perfect climate for storing and maturing wine. The wine cooler comes with a lock to safeguard the precious wine collection.
Low Vibration Compressor
Wine needs a quiet and stable place to develop its full flavor. That's why Dometic uses a special, electronically controlled compressor for the wine cabinets, which produces hardly any vibration. The speed of the compressor automatically adjusts to the cooling requirements. As soon as the set temperature is reached, the compressor keeps running at a low speed and super-quiet to keep the temperature constant.
Effective front ventilation system
All Dometic wine climate cabinets are factory fitted with an effective front ventilation system. The hot air from the compressor flows directly outside through the front ventilation grille - a unique advantage when the wine cooler is built in.
Two temperature zones
Most of the wine climate cabinets in Dometic's Design series have two separate temperature zones, which can be set at any temperature between +5°C and +20°C - one zone can be set for red wine and the other for white wine. Optionally, one of the zones can be set to store chilled drinks. In all cases, the preset temperature is accurately maintained. Blue LEDs on the touchpad control panel indicate the actual values.
A good wine deserves a good climate
The storage of quality wine needs a balanced, stable humidity level. A value between 60 and 85% is considered ideal. At a lower humidity level, moisture evaporates from the cork. The cork then dries out and becomes porous, allowing oxygen from the air to come into contact with the wine. If the humidity is too high, there is a risk that the cork will become mouldy. If you want to keep your wine for a longer period of time, make sure you have an odorless environment and sufficient ventilation. Gases and odors can enter the wine bottle through the pores in the cork and affect the taste and bouquet of the wine. Dometic wine climate cabinets provide perfect climatic conditions for storing and maturing wine. The high-quality wine cabinets of the Design Range series are supplied as standard with an active carbon filter for odour prevention and a water tank for maintaining stable humidity. Models that lack these features can be upgraded if necessary.
UV filter keeps out heat and sunlight
It's no coincidence that wine is almost always bottled in a colored bottle: wines are extremely sensitive to light. UV radiation has a significant influence on the maturation process of a wine. This radiation causes chemical reactions that cause the wine to lose its aroma. A few weeks in a brightly lit room is enough to affect the taste and bouquet of a top wine. Direct sunlight is even more harmful than artificial light, because sunlight also gives off heat. This explains why all Dometic wine climate cabinets with glass doors are equipped with high-insulating, multi-layer doors that are coated with a UV filter for maximum protection. To enhance the insulating effect, Argon gas is injected between the layers of the glass. In addition, Dometic only uses LED lighting for its wine cabinets, as these generate the lowest possible heat.
Smart temperature control
It is rare for hotels, restaurants and individuals to have the privilege of owning a traditional vaulted wine cellar. Fortunately, these perfect climatic conditions can be imitated using advanced technology. Dometic wine climate cabinets use a special heating and cooling function to quickly reach and reliably maintain the ideal storage temperature. Smart electronics adapt to the target and ambient temperature by automatically heating or cooling the air.
